Funscape Daycare Centre is a local kindergarten with an international approach.
Founded in 2009 as a Right Brain Learning Centre, Funscape evolved into a full-fledged kindergarten in 2015. Today, we combine international best practices with local values to offer a unique and enriching early childhood experience.
Our approach blends holistic development, right-brain techniques, and the theory of multiple intelligences. At Funscape, we embrace inquiry-based learning, encouraging children to ask questions, explore ideas, and discover answers through hands-on, play-based experiences. This helps them develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and a genuine love for learning.
We believe every child deserves a joyful childhood filled with discovery, curiosity, and purpose. Through meaningful activities, memory games, and guided exploration, we nurture not just academic growth—but also social, emotional, and psychological wellbeing. Our goal is to help children gain more than just knowledge; we empower them with the skills and confidence to be curious, capable, lifelong learners.
Our Philosophy
At Funscape, we believe that every child is intelligent—just not in the same way.
Too often, children are taught to memorise, recite, and copy without truly understanding the meaning behind what they’re learning. This approach tends to favour those strong in language and logic, while overlooking the unique talents of children who excel in areas like art, movement, music, or emotional awareness.
While we may not be able to change the school syllabus, we believe parents and educators can choose to nurture the whole child.

We pair this with inquiry-based learning, encouraging children to explore, question, and make sense of the world around them. Rather than simply teaching them what to learn, we focus on teaching them how to learn—fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence from an early age.
At Funscape, we don’t just prepare children for school—we prepare them for life.
Children learn best when they can experience with new things with all their senses in a fun, interative, and engaging way so we don’t confine their learning process to the classroom! To help them do that, we teach lessons in hands-on ways, such as:
- Incubation of chicken eggs: As part of our science lessons on growth, the children learnt how eggs are incubated and waited for the eggs to hatch. They were able to witness the hatching of eggs.
Not all children learn at the same pace. Neither do they learn at the same rate all the time. When children choose what they wish to learn, they gain more from the experience than when they are forced to study a subject. To promote such child-led learning, we employ the use of learning corners, which are permanent visually- and spatially-defined areas with materials organised by subject and available for children to select independently.

Ultimately, we believe that character counts—and whilst your child may need that list of A’s on their transcript, their character and skills in continuous learning is what will set them apart in the future. With our focus on holistic development, we mentor your child so that their social and emotional development grows on par with their academic studies.
